Concrete5 | WJS Machine Tools UK
I was initially approached by a business development manager within a well known established Web Development Agency based in the UK with a large project brief which they compiled after an extensive audit they had carried out on the website belonging to a massive worldwide coorporation, WJS Machine Tools.
The website was built using Concrete5, a popular open source content management system (CMS), which is written in Object Oriented PHP, and follows a very extendable Model View Controller (MVC) approach.
As a full-stack web developer, I had all the skills needed to complete this project and after some discussions with the agency it was quickly agreed between us that I would work independantly behind the scenes on the development with the situation taking a complete turn where I ended up working directly with the client and took charge of both the developement and project management.
