Company Approach

Although the likelihood of an incidence of modern slavery in the business Built By Damon or our supply chains is low, Built By Damon works to the highest ethical and professional standards and value transparency and accountability in all of my dealings. Built By Damon has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and expect the same high standards from those Built By Damon works with. Built By Damon does not transact with any organisation, which knowingly supports, or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude or forced or compulsory labour.

Built By Damon has put in place a Modern Slavery Policy which is supported by other internal policies and HR processes such as the companies Whistleblowing Policy and Disciplinary Rules and Procedure.

Built By Damon ensures that any employees are aware and committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring. Built By Damon is ultimately responsible for compliance internally as an individual.

Supplier Due Diligence

Built By Damon is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within it’s supply chains or in any part of the business. Built By Damon does not knowingly engage with any suppliers that engage in the trafficking or exploitation of workers in any manner. Built By Damon does not tolerate suppliers that use child labour or forced labour. Built By Damon is committed to improving our processes, including development of due diligence checks and Supplier Management procedures for my supplier on-boarding procedure(s).

As part of improving Built By Damon’s Supplier Management and due diligence checks, Built By Damon aims to digitise the record keeping and ongoing management, ensuring the company has up to the date records for Governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC). Built By Damon continues to complete our internal review of suppliers, ensuring ongoing compliance with the Act and any new or evolving regulation and legislation.

Any supplier that should adhere to the Act but falls short of evidencing the requirements of the Act will be reviewed on a per case basis. Where compliance to the Act cannot be verified through due diligence checks, and the supplier has advised a statement will not be made available, a new supplier(s) will be identified.
